Do transparent medical grade silicone tubings have a long service life? The transparent medical silicone tube used for medical devices has the characteristics of high transparency, odorless, good aging resistance, good tear resistance, good resilience, weak acid and weak alkali resistance, high and low temperature resistance, etc. It can work normally at -50~250℃, and has excellent insulation and air permeability. But the transparent medical silicone tube is generally translucent with some fog, unlike the PVC hose which is transparent. Transparent medical grade silicone tube parameters are mutually resistant, because the color of the silicone rubber itself is translucent. If it is transparent, it will change the physical structure of the silicone rubber itself as a parameter, and the change will affect the service life of the transparent medical grade silicone hose. So how do we test the quality of clear medical grade silicone tubing?

1. Flame retardant test: The silicone tube is ignited under an open flame and naturally extinguished after 5 seconds.

2. Pass the pressure test, fold the silicone hose to be tested 180 times, a total of 3-5 times, and then carry out the pressure test.

3. There is no obvious deformation or elongation in the tensile test, no cracks after three times of bending, and no wrinkles on the surface of the silicone tube.

4. High temperature test. The silicone tube is tested for 1-2m through the tunnel furnace, and the surface should not have bad appearance such as yellow and bubbles. Then after a high temperature pressure test, the silicone tube meets the pressure requirements.

5. High voltage test: sample the silicone tube, take a sample, and then the corresponding conductor passes through the silicone tube. The pressure gauge is used to test one end of the conductor, and the other end of the conductor is moved back and forth through the silicone tube. At this point, the silicone tube is damaged. If an alarm is raised, it is disqualified and vice versa.
